HV Cablepower Owner/Director Dave Boyd understands that with such specialised work comes risks and responsibilities within the power industry and is committed to continually developing safety and training within the company.  He ensures he is actively involved in the daily operations of the business with his on-site approach, open communication and availability.

Having over 20 years experience in the industry, Dave has the support of a united team that specialise in low voltage to extra high voltage electrical services.

Dave was trained in all facets of cable jointing from street lighting up to 66kV oil cables whilst working for Yorkshire Electricity as a transmission Cable Jointer.

In 2002, Dave emigrated to Australia, he joined Western Power as a Cable Jointer where he was accredited by ABB to work on 132kV cable and also travelled to South Korea to gain accreditation by LG Cables. Dave was responsible for many of the 132kV underground cable projects within Western Australia whilst in charge of the transmission cable section

Dave has completed projects Australia wide and has supervised and completed projects in India, New Zealand, Fiji and the Philippines.  He has travelled internationally to gain extra high voltage training in Sweden, Switzerland and Germany.
